The San Lorenzo Hotel is located in one of the oldest buildings in the village of Poppi. Thanks to a careful renovation that has maintained the characteristics of the building, inside you can breathe the authentic atmosphere of the past. The perfect combination of past and present: along the ancient stone staircase and in each of the rooms you can find a selection of works by contemporary artists that blend with stylish furniture, because San Lorenzo is also an art gallery.
The former Church that gives its name to the structure, now deconsecrated, hosts numerous exhibitions by contemporary artists from all over Europe, in an environment with an ancient charm.
A large olive garden of almost one hectare opens between the Arno Valley and the Castello dei Conti Guidi. A unique view for summer breakfasts under the grape pergola or for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle. The fruit trees also offer local delicacies such as cherries, apples and hazelnuts.
All this fits perfectly into the village of Poppi: San Lorenzo is in fact located in the middle of the historic center, supported by ancient protective walls. Overlooking the majestic Castello dei Conti Guidi on one side and the Casentino Valley on the other, its enviable position makes it perfect for visiting the town, going out for an aperitif or eating a typical dish, without giving up the tranquility of a secluded location.
The Hotel has 10 rooms, all equipped with a private bathroom with a shower. To respect the peculiar style of the San Lorenzo Hotel, the rooms have been furnished mostly with handmade products from a renowned local laboratory, recognized as one of the most important for the artistic craftsmanship of wrought iron in Italy.
A panoramic terrace and an olive garden of more than one hectare await you at Albergo San Lorenzo for moments of relaxation in peace and greenery.

The former church of San Lorenzo, dating back to the 13th century, is now used as an exhibition space for contemporary art exhibitions, concerts and private events.
